Working with Louisa – what to expect
I’ve worked with many families in and around Cambridge – from toddlers to teens and Grannies to Godparents! As a Cambridge family photographer I will photograph you with your family in a way that feels natural and fun. My sessions are not about starchy poses and saying cheese for the camera. I will give a little direction, for example placing you in an area of gorgeous light – but then its your time to enjoy spending with your nearest and dearest while I snap away and capture some beautiful photographs.
How I work Cambridge family photographer
I am a natural light photographer, so I don’t bring extra lighting or work from a studio. My sessions are around 2 hours depending on the number and ages of the children and their mood on the day! Occassionally, timid children need some time and patience before they feel comfortable in front of my camera. I will play games and appeal to their sense of fun to make sure all your personalities shine through in the photographs I take.
Where I work family photographer Cambridge
I work throughout Cambridgeshire and Suffolk including Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Ely, Saffron Walden, Royston and Cambourne. I like to photograph children and families outdoors. I know lots of gorgeous outdoor spaces which I can suggest for shoot or am happy to work at your home or a location of your choice.
What happens on the day
I will shoot for around 2 hours but families with younger children may need a little longer. There is plenty of time to stop for snacks, nappy changes, breaks etc and the overall feel of my sessions is very relaxed.

When your children look back at family photos, will they find any pictures of you with them? Or are you always the one behind the camera, documenting every birthday, school play, beach trip or holiday? Maybe you just avoid being in the picture because you hate having photo taken. Maybe you’ve not reached your goal weight, or you have no make-up on. I’m guilty of this. As a Cambridgeshire family photographer, my family always have a professional on hand…
