What Does A Socially Distanced Family Photo Shoot Actually Look Like?
Thankfully, my style of photography was designed for a socially distanced family photoshoot! To create my modern and relaxed style of photography, I use wide open outdoor spaces and long telephoto lenses. This means I can easily stay at least 2m or more away from you and your family throughout a session and therefore still create a set of gorgeous family photos you will treasure forever. “So what’s changed?” I hear you cry… Well, in reality, not much! I may no longer be able to shake your hand when I arrive, but I’ll definately still have a huge grin, play lots games with your children and tell rubbish jokes and sing Baby Shark to rouse a smile whenever necessary. Previously, we may have started a shoot at your home or local park, however, I will now be specifying shoot locations according to times and days so I can ensure social distancing is possible.
Keeping both your family and my family safe whilst working during this pandemic is my upmost priority. I will wash my hands before every shoot and can wear a mask throughout the session if that makes you feel safer. Every blanket I use for families to sit on will be laundered between photoshoots and every prop wiped and sanitised.
I will be vigilant and check my family for temperatures and symptoms daily before attending a session. If we need to isolate, I will re-arrange your shoot. I would ask that you please do the same, and if any of your family show a temperature or any symptoms, that you let me know as soon as possible and we re-arrange your session.

Can you maintain social distancing?
Yes. Absolutely. My style of photography is created in wide open outdoor spaces using long telephoto lenses. This means I can stay well over 2m away from you and family throughout a photo shoot. I will be specifying shoot locations to ensure social distancing is possible.
Will you wear a mask?
In most circumstances, since I will be well over 2m away, I would prefer not to wear a mask. Without it, I can better develop a relationship with your children through to photograph them candidly. I will, however, happily wear a mask throughout your photoshoot if you prefer.
What if my child has a temperature or symptoms on our shoot day?
If your child or any member of your family has a temperature or shows any Covid-19 symptoms, please let me know ASAP and I can make plans to re-arrange your session.
What if you have to isolate?
Should I or any of my family show symptoms and need to isolate, I will make plans to re-arrange your family photo shoot for the next mutually agreeable date.

I can’t wait to get back to photographing lots of lovely Cambridgeshire and Suffolk families from 29th March! I know this has been a tough time for everybody and I’m really looking forward to creating lots of lovely family memories of being together this Spring and Summer!
I’m now taking bookings for family shoots through from April 2021. Please book in early to avoid disappointment.
